There are, but not all apps offer all languages. If OP wants to learn more popular languages like Spanish, French, German, etc., there are endless resources and apps. Off the top of my head (more like, as previous user until most content got paywalled or no Proper modded versions exist anymore), Busuu, Memrise, Beelingua, Rosetta, Lingodeer were all really good. Busuu and Duo both had community discussions and practice too, iirc. Esp on Busuu, you could do translation exercises and get paired with native speakers to practice. But this was pre-2015. I was using Duo and Memrise after that. And then just Duo from 2020.

Also, i think OP asked yes/no question and maybe that's why nobody is providing any actual details?

PC gaming in general is full of work arounds, tweaks, adjustments, and fiddling. The things you have to do are different compared to a Windows machine, but they aren't any more difficult.

How "plug and play" it is depends on what you're playing. It's plug and play for thousands of games. Others less so. I personally don't think it's difficult or time consuming, but what counts as difficult and time consuming might vary from person to person. If you want a plug-and-play system, get a Nintendo Switch.

The Steam Deck is a PC, but it's different from the PC you're probably used to. I don't think it's any more difficult, but the OS you're familiar with can feel "easier" than the one you're not. Linux isn't harder. It's just different.

If you're looking at the "Steam Deck Verified" rating, don't. That system is lacking and isn't keeping up with how fast Proton develops. ProtonDB[www.protondb.com] is often cited as a good resource, and it is, but my approach is to just try it. Usually it just works. Sometimes it doesn't and I need to make some adjustments, but as a PC gamer I fully expect that anyway.

Perfectly understandable, and really this is the best conclusion. Too many people buy it anyway without researching to see if it will fit their own needs and lifestyle, and when it doesn't they come on these forums to complain and blame everyone but themselves. By having the sense of mind to see that the Steam Deck is not for you, you save yourself money, time, and stress. I do hope that you also possess the theory of mind to see why others do enjoy theirs, even if it's not for you personally.

I get it you enjoy the system and get more out of it then the rest of us so more power to ya ur getting ur monies worth but have issues right out of box cause of bugs along with other nuances was a deal breaker for me. Maybe with the steam 2 I'll give it another go but for now I'll invest into another pc

Yeah anyone who isn't the local host of the server won't see the legs dragging behind them. There isn't any way to rectify this other than increasing server tickrate to lessen the drag, which can also introduce problems because you're affecting the tickrate of everything calculated gameplay-wise.

Codes are valid for about a year, unless otherwise specified in promo by streamer and so on. If you have a code from 2016, it probably stopped working in 2017.
