9/10 ran into minor glitch. otherwise played, looked, sounded and ran great without any performance issues.

there are two possibilities here...
1. you've already finished the mission path and can only submit wonders for a small nanite reward
or
2. you haven't completed enough milestones to progress the mission to the next step

Little tip, step on the little white lights scattered around the atlas stations to get a chance of learning atlas words so that "unreadable text" becomes readable... (even old dialogue will become viewable from in your records)

each hydrocontact, if you press it, contains a range of approximate distance. 0-1000m, 1-2 km, 2-5 km, etc.

I've just got done attempting the issues you've described and so far I've not been able to reproduce either of them.
Starting with the ones mentioned in your first report.
The “Feral Hunger” spell - had you reached your spell casting limit before attempting to cast the spell?
As you can only cast the same number of spells you started your turn with. So if you cast one spell and then drew the “Feral Hunger” spell, you would need to wait till your next turn before casting it.
Also, you can only cast 1 spell during another player's turn.
Did it happen regardless if which enemy you were against? Could it have been an enemy that was immune to spells?

As for the “Wooden Stake” - did you make sure to select to use the stake as a weapon when entering into combat? If you had selected to use it as a weapon, did the card not appear in your usable card space in order to discard it?
Do you remember which enemy you encountered when this happened? As there are enemies that prevent players using certain items or weapons when fighting them.

As for the Dragon Tower
I tried both the Dragon Tower and Dragon Realm inner regions and couldn't cast a spell against any enemies or creatures.
Did you see this happen with multiple spells or were there any specific ones you remember being able to cast when you shouldn't?

There is also the possibility that these issues were already fixed internally and just awaiting to be released in the patch we're planning.

Only thing to do then is a complete clean re-install. See pinned topics or guides.

Despite connections in matches still being peer-to-peer-based, and the regional setting continuing to be "Japan VS Not-Japan", the quality of said connection, and its stability, are the best I've had compared to the previous PC Soulsbornes I've played -- the worst are when I play with people half a world away from me, and even that, it is comparable to older games' average multiplayer experience (like ER/DS3 PvP quality and stability). The majority of PC-side issues in this game stem from EAC, which exhibits problems with the connection, or the game, hell even the computer itself sometimes (because why shouldn't I bluescreen) -- these errors are never present when playing without EAC active at all, at the expense of no online functions, unless using mods like Seamless Co-Op.

It's progress, despite taking forever. I'd say the prolonged employment of EAC's services is a huge setback, however, as it is a blatant virus of a malfunctioning anticheat that doesn't even do its job properly (as there are prevalent cheaters in the games, both on PC and PS, not sure about XB). It chooses to disagree with something and throw a massive tantrum over it. That needs to change. I'd rather just have FROM SOFTWARE go back to their old and outdated anticheat used in pre-ER titles -- while that one also sucked, it at least wasn't such an invasive bother.

I understand the issues with EAC but modern hackers are advanced and game studios like fromsoft just dont have the experience to make something that will be anywhere near good enough. If not EAC it will have to be some other third party anti-cheat.

Also why shouldn't we strive for improvements in all areas, improve EAC and make dedicated servers, fromsoft arent a little company they are making hundreds of millions of dollars, they have the power to persuade the developers of EAC to improve their service and have the money for dedicated servers

Yeah I also thought it could be binding time, in fact I got the aura for the first time when I changed build to 1h sword and magic. Now I've switched back to longsword and I still have binding time because I use the 1h sword as secondary weapon. But this time I'm not getting the aura, that's why I'm not sure.
