next update will hopefully have both weapon upgrades in the shop available and the in game achievements, which will try to call the steam achievements on each file load.

Thanks for the achievements fix! I managed to pop 3, but the "Fire Starter" seems broken. Doesn't unlock in game either. Also, I never encountered Wolfer-X. I'm at the point where I can ride the funicular up, but that's pretty much the end of demo. Am I missing something or that boss isn't in the demo?

I don't think it was a color range limit thing, it's just what Enix did at the time. I don't think anybody really knows why.
