Thanks for your help. I tried yesterday and finally played it through the end. I think my mistake was after Arios left me with Izar, I killed him. Didn't realise i needed to leave him alive! But your prompts helped me realised my mistake. Thanks!

Battlefield 6 Update: On Secure Boot & Cheats

Secure boot here and there... Anticheat here and there... Cheaters, RIGHT HERE IN THIS GAME already... Like for real... Just use dang AI and train it to be the anticheat... you have about 260K players and if half of them are cheaters that keep being banned and just going on their other steam accounts to cheat even more, then where the hell do we live... Secure boot is garbage, EA attempts to get some goofy ahh anticheat always failed and I still cant get the grasp why cant they implement a simple screen lock... Yes it will prevent streamers from capturing the game but you can always allow OBS with the correct signature to let it capture the game...

So dear EA, no I will not be nuking all my files to enable Secure Boot just because you cant implement modern anticheat into your videogame... Want people to play it and cheaters be banned? Either hire a team of admins whom would go from server to server and check all player reports and kick/ban everyone that is cheating after doing manual check or use a dang AI to do all that for you... If AI can make a cheat for a brand new videogame within 2 hours of its launch, then YOU need to keep up... Also what it looks like is more the fact that some of your devs make them cheats themselves and sell them on the internet for $$$$$$ and I wouldnt be surprised if that was true cuz they make $$$ by working on fixing the game and getting rid of cheaters and meanwhile they make even more $$$ by selling them cheats to people they later on ban so they could sell them a new cheat version...

"The $50 price tag is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ outrageous" - Consider that they had to buy the IP, this is a good deal. It works out to about 25 cents an hour for most people. For me it will be about 10 cents an hour.

"Sandworms, iconic to Dune’s lore, are way too aggressive." - As they should be per the Dune lore. The sandworms are the best part of the game. If you don't think so, then you are not a Dune fan and why are you even playing the game?

"Deep Desert sandstorms are even worse, shredding Ornithopters." - Learn the game and how it works. Never once had an Ornithopters damaged significantly. The ones in Hagga Basin give you enough warning that you can either put it away with the backup tool, put it under an arch or go to your base to park it safely. The ones in the deep desert are huge, but so is the deep desert and you get like 5 minutes to do what you do to avoid them in Hagga Basin or simply fly to one side of it and avoid it.

"The bugs are so rampant you’d think they’re a core mechanic." - They are working very hard to fix the bugs. A lot of people have lost stuff and been killed in game, but with 1 million playing the game, this isn't surprising. I've not died once to a bug. One common bug that was annoying, but not game breaking was recently fixed.

I was not too positive about the game until the last update. So many bug fixes and QOL changes. Worth the wait. And I'm very happy with the latest changes to the Deep Desert (many PvE players like them as I do).

One of the best games I've played. I expect it to only get better. Has a lot of things that they can improve. Biggest flaw is the lack of a way to take up where you left off in game or the ability to transfer a character from one world to another. Hopefully they fix/add those in the upcoming year.

The only part I kinda disagree with you here is the one on Storms, in that it is possible to be caught in one entirely unexpected if you're unlucky enough to arrive during one. Otherwise, not only does the storm warning give you ample time...

***But the Storms themselves are actually visible long before they reach the map and warnings are given!***
