I am questioning myself that as well and when I am finally attacking, I am on the Tajikistan map which is terrible for attacking, you are constantly hiding behind a rock because there are like 8 snipers watching you from afar.

Looks like Steam ate your reply because just the link might have looked suspicious, but I was able to see it. 👍

Looks like a lot of mods are referenced in the console.txt -- can you replicate this error in a fresh save without any mods enabled?

Out of curiosity, did verifying the game's integrity cause it to re-download any files?

At least you don't have to do the missions, just accept, find, and abort them.

At least there are no penalties for aborting missions.

That's a problem if you already have Venghi as an enemy, because you don't get any missions.

Alternatively, visit every sector where there's a war. If the attacking fleet is Venghi, you know the station is from the COT.

Because the attackers are always shown as a location, while the station is still unknown to you.
