i thought there was an option to switch to 3rd person mode in bf6

Vehicles have had a 3rd person view as an option / setting since forever. There has never been an option when on-foot however.

Exactly. If it didn't happen when the leviathan Battlefield 1 faced up against Infinite Warfare, the most disliked video on Youtube for a time, and if it didn't happen when Battlefield 4 the series peak went against the unpopular CoD Ghosts, it will never happen.

BF 6 looks pretty mid tbh, nowhere as good as its predecessors, but nowhere as bad as 2042 either.
