That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. People don't fight the boss just to avoid a short run back to it. What kind of backwards and stupid world do you live in where you think, "man, I was just going to die to this boss, but I don't want to have to run back to it, so I guess I'd better try to kill it instead"?
