Power armour through various media has taken many forms.

Iron man is a nice sleek suit, so was the PA in Bubblegum Crisis, or Robotech.

But its also been bulky, like in Warhammer 40k, or in Patlabor. So I guess it comes down to just how much "protection" the armour is meant to convey.

It always seems that the sleeker the armour, the less protection it gives..

I can't remember exactly, but I have the impression of Patlabor being more of the vehicle type, with controls that didn't just map to the user's body.

Other than sheer size or the level of protection, I feel like that's an important point of separation between what counts as a suit of armour and what counts as a vehicle. You wear armour, you pilot a vehicle.

Mods, Bethesda has this weird hate boner for mods but at the same time expects people to use them.

To be fair, it isn't Bethesda. Console makers give points when earning achievements and those points can be spent to acquire things, so mods need to disable the ability to get achievements when used to prevent abuse of that. For PC games, it is just easier and cheaper to have a single version of the game where mods disable achievements than it is to maintain two separate versions. Game consoles don't have access to console commands, so there is no reason to block achievements for those.

I get it. Influenza was absolutely brutal before modern medicine. It killed a ton of people.

But come on - I got a colonist at 90% quality treatment, in a clean medical station with an excellent bed, and according to the debug window, their flu gets +0.249 severity per day, with only 0.191 immunity gain. In other words: that pawn is already dead. This is after treatment with normal and occasionally glitterworld meds, which I'd assume do fall under "modern medicine".

I know, random factors are involved here, but a flu outbreak in a colony that has access to more than herbal meds should NOT be a "micromanage everything IMMEDIATELY or you can basically just forget about saving people" situation.
