indeed, ive played a few public lobbies for anomalies and noticed how good people are at reading eachother. I'll def be returning to it at some point.

I feel like MH has grown to large to effective gatekeep ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and tourists trying to harm others so they can feel good, and I appreciate Capcom trying to gatekeep for us. Plenty of fun for babies in the ballpit, and a place for folks who actually play MH heavily to grind and vent out their frustrations on their 9 to 5.

Biggest mistake for MH fans was MH going mainstream for people who don't know what the franchise was about, now people gotta deal with trolls, disingenuous people, haters etc.

I fear these are dark times for the community.

The common 'start' behavior is the game 'loading' into the content manager and checking instantly for mandatory core patch updates.

This cannot be 'cancelled' or stopped by the user. It is a common build for XBOX and PC owners.

Usually, the auto-updater would 'time-out' after a while, if your PC is offline. If you are online, it will keep trying, afaik.

I am sure this topic has been discussed to death over the years in various MSFS and AVISIM forums ... and here on Steam. Googlebing for more details?

I had a similar issue, which I managed to solve by updating the XBOX Game client on Windows. But, I own the non-Steam MS Store MSFS version. Not sure, if this applies to you.

The uncensor patch removes mosaics
I am old enough to not care about mosaics and BS artstyle is... unique enough that this doesn't change much, but it still is a change.

Hold up... does the patch actually REMOVE mosaics from the h-scene CGs? Are you certain? Wasn't it perhaps just a CG that didn't require a mosaic?

Yes, but my brain uncensors mosaics automatically, so I didn't event notice lol.

It's random and I think it also depends on the number of treasures you open. I've had at least 6 but once you get the first ones the rest are for selling.

You don't use it to have a buff but to come back to the last checkpoint, but doing that, you lose your souls apparently so they give you this buff as a pity.
