The Bible is full of fanciful analogies, so much so as to be a language unto itself. A "spiritual language". You might call it a "cultural language".

Perhaps I can draw your attention to more direct scripture to accommodate any critique you have of my writings, if there is something in particular you consider "weak"?

Let me give you an example of something that may not be so obvious to people who do not know the contemporary culture of the times. This is an easy one, we're not going too deep.

Who was the Golden Calf of Exodus?

Answer: It was Yahweh.

The Golden Bull was the original image of Yahweh. The old Yahweh, son of El Elyon. The polytheistic era Yahweh.

After making the golden calf, the people declare in Exodus 32:4 - “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.”

Exodus 32:5, Arron proclaims before the Golden Calf : “Tomorrow shall be a feast to Yahweh.”

This was the Yahweh they knew. Not the Yahweh Moses proclaimed. Further readings confirmed this:

Psalm 106:19 “they even made for themselves a molten calf, and said, ‘This is your god who brought you out of Egypt.’

The Golden Calf IS Yahweh. They were not guilty of worshiping false Gods, but of worshiping Yahweh the wrong way.

See how that changes the whole concept of that story?
You have in the past, attempted to state that El was YHWH and Aserah His opposite in female form, (from what I recall of your past posts). I know where youre going with the Golden calf, but its a circular path of perspective and debate, which you may use in your attempt to discredit the scriptures, but holds little water.

Their earliest God was El. YHWH originated outside of their influence. There was also Baal.

They were separate and different from each other. Later on YHWH became the supreme deity and monotheism was born.

Nobody doubts that El was originally supposed to be "The most High".

Baal was a God also, as was YHWH.

What was the original image of El?
A Bull.

This is why God (YHWH) was angered when the sons of Aaron made the golden calf. They were going back to their roots before monotheism. It wasnt YHWH at all.

[Im watching a movie with family, so forgive me if this didnt make sense. Im trying to address it though.]
