Exactly. Doesn't matter how it happened. I played all day and over time stopped expecting anyone to ever revive me and so started mashing Space Bar asap...

I don't get revives unless I'm grouped with a friend.

I was able to play BF2042 without this secureboot nonsense. Why can't I play 6 without it?

To the point #2, can you name me a single 4x like game where defensive play, as you call it, is a viable strategy and not just exploiting weaknesses of AI that wouldn't punish you for it?

I played a fair share of strategy games, and a common meta-strategy in all of them is, well, expansion is the #1 priority, especially early game, because it determines how much resources you can get, how fast you can research/build units and even how fast you can improve economy, which makes the whole thing compound on itself. Exponential growth is what results from it, and how fast it happens is usually largely determined by how successful you were in the early game.

So my question is, is there a game that isn't like this? Where defensive as you call them strategies are viable or even superior to aggressive expansion push in the early game? I honestly would like to know, which games your friend plays.
