I found a temporary fix for the time being, I set my computer clock to yesterday and now it doesn't crash. I guess it has to do with the Coloring Voxels countdown, game just refuses to work when it reaches zero. :P

I don’t know if you have a PC or a laptop, but in my case I have a laptop and I noticed that the game isn’t recognized by the NVIDIA app, so it switches to the integrated GPU and slows down. So every time I want to play, I set the NVIDIA Control Panel to only use the NVIDIA GPU so it doesn’t switch automatically, and the game runs normally as it should.

i do have a laptop i set the gpu on both executables to use high performance gpu in windows settings and I also have it set on the nvidia control panel but it still slows down :/

Can this be flagged to Apex IT team to look into insta crashing, me and my have been having issues for a couple of months with insta crashing but new season has made things worse. We think its related to DX12 being a bag of crap. :DSTpoop:

Going to add on to this thread. Prior to today, I only ever got "No steam logons" while trying to play during Steam's Tuesday maintenance.

I haven't been able to stay in any server for more than 30-120s for almost 24 hours now.

Can not play on any server, Official / Best Available / Local. I've been hearing from a few other people that they are receiving issues as well.

I have:

Cleared download cache
Cleared steam browser cache
Changed download region
Restarted Steam
Restarted computer
Restarted router/modem
Flushed DNS

According to someone else, they reinstalled Steam and L4D2. Didn't change anything.

The only thing that worked for me was using a new account and buying L4D2 on it. Despite being the same computer, and the same L4D2 installation, a separate account let me play without "No Steam Logon" issue.

Unfortunately Steam support was absolutely useless.

I hope this doesn't become one of those issues that Valve takes weeks to fix because the game is basically unplayable for me now.

so yeah kinda weird to remove a hat that is thematic to the exploration and survival vibes, but keep the vibes and theme of an organization that literally, objectively, and is legally proven, to be an organization that molests children and causes lifelong trauma.

at the end of the day I dont care about either of these topics but its interesting where people direct their manufactured outrage, and how people spend their energy on these topics instead of things that really matter, or even things that matter even a modicum more.

And you are sure you're running these mods through the UPDATED and CURRENT version of F4SE?

Don't rely on either vortex or mo2 to launch your game, they may or may not have the correct version of the Script Editor working with their mods.
