@Dave:

One thing i do want to state though is I don't believe cheaters are everywhere in Hunt. I think they are a very low percentage, like around 10% and that is goin very high. The game is a very 'ambushy' kind of game and that leads to alot of sus plays. With that said, i have had several cases I thought I came across a cheater and i'll follow the rest of their game watching for any other sus actions and most of the time they seem legit.

The reason no one actually buys the BS that the amount of cheaters is low, is if you look at the peak player count for the beginning of the year it was rather steady but they banned 5000 players for cheating. IIRC around that time the peak was about 15K players. Yet we never saw the player count actually make any huge dips at all. Which Crytek would have that data, we would not. Did they ban 5K players and then get 5K new accounts? Or did a whole bunch of dormant accounts suddenly go active?

That was also only the cheaters in 3-4* IIRC and did not account for the ones in 5-6* where they are much harder to catch because they are better at it. So 5000 cheaters banned with a peak of 15,000 players and only in the 3-4* range. Yeah...10% figure is a joke. It's way more than that.

That's not even counting those ping abusing which crytek doesn't consider cheating and is at this point, actively endorsing by removing ping limits all together.
The 5k were banned over 5 months. There were probably multiple Accounts per cheater. They dont play all at the same time.. Player peak vs active Player count is a quite big gap. We only See steam gamer not consol and gamepass.. Which could cheat aswell.. But i dont get the "30%-70% cheaters some claim" If that many cheated why even play..

I can certainly understand where you're coming from, and I can assure you that there is no malicious intent for staying in Early Access for as long as we have. We respect our community a great deal.

There have been a lot of features and things we wanted to add to Universe Sandbox before coming out of Early Access that have been more difficult than we've expected and have taken quite a bit longer than anticipated. And as time goes on there are other improvements to some of the underlying software we use, like the Unity game engine, that we either want to need to utilize that take time time for use to update to.

We're continuing to add to Universe Sandbox and have been putting out regular updates for 10 years and there's still a lot more that we want to do.

We're not holding back any features just because we're in Early Access. Everything we have finished has been fully released.

What would you expect to see as a difference between a full release of Universe Sandbox and the current Early Access release?

Thanks for the reply, but I still find it unsatisfactory.
I understand that development takes time, and adapting to new technologies like Unity can be challenging. But after 10 years of regular updates and a game that already includes plenty of features, it no longer feels like Early Access—it feels like a finished product that simply hasn’t been officially released.
Continuing to label it as Early Access seems like a way to avoid responsibility and expectations, and it undermines trust in the project. Many other games are officially released and continue to receive updates afterward—you should be able to do the same.
So when you ask what the difference would be:
An official release would show that you stand behind your product and that you respect the players who have supported you for years. It’s not about features—it’s about trust and transparency.

What makes you think you know better than seasoned software engineers (Cosmic is one) when it comes to understanding what went wrong with some software? Do you also know medicine better than doctors?
What makes you think that Cosmic's seasoning as a software engineer is any better than mine?
* 10 years as a programmer, and analyst programmer with British Telecom, specifying and writing code for their (at the time) big IBM 370/168.
* 10 years with L M Ericsson as an analyst/programmer, once again on mainframe systems.
* 7 years with IBMGSA, first as a development team leader and systems/business analyst, and then into process management to help them develop a new set of protocols to allow them to achieve and pass CMMI at level 2, and them level 5 (18 months later) under international scrutiny from Carnegie Mellon university,
Then a period doing business analysis work with a smaller company, and finally, after retirement, as a school IT support person.
All this with a mature age bachelor's degree in Business Studies, with a major in IT and a post secondary unit towards an MBA, again focused on IT (RMIT in both cases).
So what has your resident guru actually done that makes him a "seasoned software engineer"?

Ive been in the industry for 15 years as a full stack senior software engineer for a large consulting consulting company and ive worked on dozens of projects in the tech space, pharmaceutical space, education, banking, and many more. I have a bachelor's in computer engineering from a large, well known and respected university in California.

I dont really care if you believe me or not, im just tired of your snarky responses that include nothing but misinformation and insults. Its pretty clear (even before you posted your experience) that you haven't worked in software in an extremely long time, and it sounds like you worked are user and administrator of these technologies, or as youve said yourself, an IT guy. Not an engineer, nor even a codemonkey programmer.
