2. Dissatisfied community: Players forced to look for workarounds feel ignored and marginalized. This doesn’t build brand loyalty.
3. Lack of control: The company has no control at all over how its product is perceived through these “band-aid” solutions.

Thus, by their actions, the company doesn’t avoid the problem but instead guarantees the worst possible outcome.

Okay, after a reload, the scanner room doesn't even let me select stalker teeth anymore. Maybe they dropped out of range? There were definitely a dozen or more signatures.

When you solo queue, your own Trust Factor determines your match quality. But when you queue with friends, Valve’s system blends your Trust Factors—even one low-trust player can drag the whole group into sketchy lobbies.

In 3-stack or 5-stack queues, the system has fewer high-trust opponents to match you with. So it may dip into lower-trust pools to find a full match, increasing the odds of encountering cheaters.

Even if your friends seem legit, one of them might have been reported frequently (even falsely), played with cheaters in the past, used a smurf or alt account, or been toxic in voice/text chat. These behaviors silently lower Trust Factor.

Link a real phone number to Steam. Enable Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator. These are strong signals of legitimacy.

Avoid abandoning matches or AFKing. Don’t smurf or boost. Play consistently and finish games. Valve rewards regular, clean play.

Stay positive in voice/text chat. Don’t flame or grief—even jokingly. Reports for toxicity tank Trust Factor fast.

Ask each friend to solo queue and observe match quality. If one person consistently gets bad lobbies solo, they might be the Trust anchor. Consider rotating who you queue with to isolate the issue.

Don’t add or queue with strangers from sketchy matches. Cheaters can “infect” your Trust Factor just by association.

Hair and the lack of variation in the custom creator. You want me to pay 10$ or wait for the freebie one just to have the same sh as before. WHY are horns locked to faces. Why can't I have long hair. I don't care about clipping. Why are my tail selections horrible. You don't wanna add new races? Fine do what WoW does make allied races like the void elves etc that are different but still of that race.
