I think some serious competitor is needed , when Apple released its vr , Meta automatically gave some improvements in the UI .

There is competition yet people choose to go for the worst possible option anyways, Quest really is the iPhone of VR and just like iPhone permanently ruined the market by having 99% of androids become exact clones the Quest did the same for VR and thats why ♥♥♥♥ like the pico is coming out from tiktok of all companies. Its rumored the next Valve headset will be standalone. NO, make it stop, standalone is beyond useless, just a huge roadblock in plug and play compatibility, with obviously a huge added cost that you're paying for directly or indirectly a piece of hardware that nobody with a PC will ever use anyways.
I pray the next Valve headset will be PCVR only, or at least offer a PCVR only option, I do not want to pay extra for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ phone strapped to the headset that I dont want and will never use, the only problem with the Index is the price, if they put a PC in there too the price will be insane, literally just drop the Index price, maybe by making the new one inside-out by default or whatever. Index is already high up on the chart despite how outdated and overpriced it is, if Valve just made a cheaper PCVR only headset it would dominate the hwsurvey just like the Steam Deck does PC handhelds even if other ones are way more powerful or run more games or whatever other gimmicks they have.

ya I agree standalone vr is not a good idea unless and until you have powerful gpu , processor which is not possible

Sim racing is far from the best racing. It matches the limitations we have irl which does NOT facilitate very good races compared to physics and design principles specifically engineered for skillful and interesting races.

That being said. Ive yet to see a sim racing games thats not Iracing or ACC actually be anything other than a glorified hotlap sim. So sim "racing" doesn't even reach its own potential.

if you really want. save a replay for when you lose to em, go in replay and just try out different comps against it and see what works for you
