Several — I am AFK but will try to remember exactly which — including two playthroughs of the initial, semi-tutorial mission. In each case, a previously subdued, basically defeated enemy pops up in the last couple of hours of the battle, muddying the status of a previously won objective just enough to degrade my victory status without giving me enough time to organise a counter before the clock winds down. I will try one more time to secure my rear more diligently as the battle proceeds but the timing of the last-gasp resistance is iffy; it’s as though the enemy AI is aware of being able to take advantage of a game condition, which is the imposition of a time limit. IRL, these cut-off, isolated enemy units far behind my lines would either have surrendered or been mopped up by follow-on forces even if they had retained some combat effectiveness.

It took me a while to learn I needed spare units at choke points and major junctions, and often a mobile reserve to mop up interlopers. Anti-aircraft can be a good choice, and sometimes anti-tank, but if you're detaching frontline companies it will often deplete your forces too much to meet other operational needs.

I personally consider some scenarios pretty much unplayable because there are too many holes for you to plug, and the enemy is going to infiltrate and wreck your supply lines too badly - and the more you advance to claim objectives, the worse it is.

My main problem is that these infiltrations wreck the manpower and vehicles of your bases too much. I think this needs to be toned down, possibly *a lot*. Something feels unrealistic, your bases shouldn't be crippled in days. If it's that there's too much infiltration of your rear areas than would occur in reality, then reducing the supply losses seems like it might be a reasonable compensation.
