tl;dr only a select few will actually enjoy this game in its current state.
wether you are one of those depends on what my comment sounds like to you:

depends on what you want to do.

if its just growing your character: yes, but it might feel repetitive.
if its growing your own settlement: yes, but it will be grindy on your own
if its being a Merchant: yes, but the prices are rough right now, really hard to make a living off of that.


all in all: anything you can do right now will take a lot of time and standing around.
paying 30bucks for a game that will be free to play once its out might not be advisable, unless you want to see it grow and gather experience on how the world/game works before 1.0 release(in 1-2years according to devs)

im playing with 3( we were 5 once) lads, which makes it more entertaining, but you have to make your own fun, like roadprojects, terraformingprojects and the slow but steady growth of your settlement.

our neighbours all lost around 20-25% of their friends to the grind, so that our 4 cities now supply eachother just to sustain.

i play the game on my second monitor inbetween laodingscreens of other games (like playing Helldivers and queueing up new projects inbetween missions)
all people i play with do that. some play runescape, some play card battlers, but we all play Bitcraft only as a secondary on the side.
simply because you will spend long times on the same resourcenode or workbench.

yesterday i had a 70.000 effort project on my Leatherworkbench, that took over 2h to complete. so 2h of just standing there, waiting, and clicking "resume" whenever my stamina recharged.

its not a Quick game, nor engaging. but 3 people with ~150h each we are almost halfway through T3 (out of 10 tiers) with our settlement. each tier the progress requirements are essentially doubled, so we're less than a quarter done with our settlement after 150h each.


tl;dr: yes there is enough to keep you busy
but its not as engaging as you might expect.

you gotta make your own fun in this game at this stage.

the most engaging (and frustrating) profession to pursue is Hunting, since your "resourcenodes" run away. but you will most likely have to level all professions to a degree.

It will never happen because not enough people make a stand for it. If the community as a whole said "we're not playing / paying until AH is here." Believe me they would either shut the game down (not happening since they want money) or spend all their resources getting AH up and running before anything else.

Sorry, I only remember the reason for no updates to current game, but I don't remember why a new game in the same style cannot be created.

Tencent ruins everything it touches and this is no different. No swords but hundreds of dollars in paid cosmetics almost a year into release

Let me start by saying I like the game and that is the reason I am creating this thread.

Now straight to the point - THIS GAME HAS A SEVERE CHEATING PROBLEM that does not seem to be going away anytime soon unless its taken seriously.

Cheating might kill the game and players have been abandoning for a while now. I would like to keep playing it without cheaters.

I play on PC - Europe servers, every fourth game there is an OBVIOUS cheater using ESP.
I have left a review on the game , which sadly is negative just because of the fact.
I am a software developer with 8+ years of experience. I have an eye for those kind of things. I can easily recongnise ESP, aimbotting , preaiming etc. A simple google search reveleals a whole business industry (paid cheats) behind this game. There are even free ones in code repositories just left for anyone to download. I never expected for a PAID game to have this level of neglect about an obvious issue, even neglecting to foresee what would happen. Its full of kids and talantless idiot gamers that will try to use some sort of a cheat. The mechanics of the game are making it hard to detect cheating given it has spatial sound etc BUT there is no killcamm that records the kills for example. The third party software (EasyAntiCheat) is absolute garbage.

Everyone neglecting the issue is a probable cheater. If you come at me with "get good and stop crying" or " this is a skill issue " is either a troll or a talantless cheater themself. If you are reading this and are cheating or think there is no cheaters - YOU ARE A PART OF THE PROBLEM ! I will not answer you nor your provocations because I AM ABOVE YOU and even if you don't think I am - THE SPECTATING FEATURE IS ! That is not tied to my skill level :D. Unless the community steps on Crytek's neck and pressures them to better the anti cheat detection with A: Most importantly a third party client or a custom Crytek client that will detect the software running on the players PC AND THEY KEEP IT UPDATED and B: Implement a system that will allow for easier detection of cheating for example a killcam the problem will not go away and the game will die off.

Crytek is just smearing the sh*t! They claimed that they have a "task force" for dealing with the cheaters which seems to be either a company management that doesn't have a f*ck off an idea of how code and cheats work or just empty promises because they are ready to let go of the game. I know that "task force" is not going to work because they don't have to right tools to make it work :D, unless its reasonably good developers ofcourse.

Don't take my word for granted, a simple google search will reveal multiple cheats from free to paid ones. This post is meant to make responsible players that like the game think and possibly unite to demand from Crytek a reasonably good support for the game.

UBCs will help in more ways than the spreadsheet implies. In addition to allowing you to defeat higher P Baals with the same stats, you'll also get a boost to your Div Gen as you defeat those higher P Baals, which can speed up monuments (and Multiverse, if you have that already). Those higher P Baals ALSO mean more Baal Power, which means more Light Clones, improving your Spacedim a tiny bit. Also a tiny bit more GP on each run. As annoying as they can be, you should just get your UBCs out of the way. Do them in sets of 5 if you can't do them all at once.

Point taken, but I guess other things are still more useful for now. It doesn't seem like it'll get me all the way to 100 yet, so might as well focus on the string of other boosts I still need, before tanking my progress by stringing UBCs. They won't specifically help with the other non-pbaal challenges either, so I guess I won't prioritize them yet.

I don't even remember what unlocks multiverse tbh. And given my last DUC was about 70k universes, I seriously doubt I'm anywhere close to making it useful. Haha.
