The planets are a beautiful canvas for you to build outposts on, not every planet needs to be a giant super fun fair attraction with bells and whistles. Maybe it's your imagination which is empty and not the game.

How many "canvasses" have you painted on? For me there are (when I did it) like 5 decent spots and the rest are essentially useless.

Quite recently an "early start" DLC has been released. The problem is, players recognized free mods (especially vehicles) that had been used in the dlc, simply adding a poor reskin over it. And it's quite obvious, since the graphics from one to another differ quite frankly.



Are free mods used by some studios to make DLC ? Yes. Is it legal ? Yes, since studio make their own comercial policies and can simply state that modders abandon their rights as soon as their mods are released. Is it moral ? Up to anyone to make his own opinion. Variations can happen. For exemple, when it comes to City Skylines, some modders signed an agreement with PDX, the studio repacked their mods and sold them as "content creator pack"

PS: I used to be a modder 20 years ago, and stopped it, thanks to exhausting internal rivalities into moddder teams.

Pretty much this. If i'm understanding this correctly you're basically saying it's like anything else in business...You might not like the practice and it might seem shady, but it's not.

couple of things to try:

If multi-monitor, disconnect them so you are down to 1 monitor, and then reboot the PC.

Try rolling back GPU drivers to a previous version.
