Are you certain that you are hitting "with the edge"? It has 4 meters range, which is about(or slightly longer) than a basic dodge.
I assume the bonus damage only happens, if you hit the target only at the edge. If they come slightly too close, they take normal damage.

Another thing:
The bonus damage is most likely just a +80% bonus damage. Meaning if your base damage was 100, and you had +300% from various sources, the total damage is 400 damage. With Deadly Reach, the bonus damage would be +380% instead, for a total of 480 damage(and not +80% of 400 damage = 720 damage), which means only an extra 80 damage done(480 vs 400), in this case.

Not sure though. Havent really tested sweeping strike yet, but seems consistent with most skills. They are mostly additive in terms of bonus damage.

All "increases" are additive. For example is the Enhanced Ailment node which says something like "+40% Increased Ailment Chance" and then "100% more Ailment Chance", making the Ailment Chance equation: [Base*(1+Increases)]*(1+More) or (5*1.4)*2 = 14% instead of 5%+40% = 45%

That means you the mission you were in was someone else's campaign. Were you doing Quickplay? I just hold spacebar down to skip it.

So, with each update, you're not giving me more, you're just dragging out the content as much as possible! Boring.

The goal of survival games is:
Survive. This game isn't an RPG or MMO!

While the game has RPG characteristics, it's turning into a terrible leveling game like so many fake games made to eat up your time!

In short, if you add so many "USELESS" mechanics that contribute nothing, you're doing what RPGs or MMOs do: "FARMING." And no, I'm not saying it's not fun, but it's a lot of farming and unnecessary stuff that can be ignored. It's a mechanic that simply doesn't make sense. There are other games that implement other things for biome changes and they feel good, but with the quests to unlock them, it just doesn't work. I'd let it slide if it were mutations because, well, it would make more sense and have more atmosphere, but you're going from a semi-survival tower defense game to an MMO with a secondary survival and building option!

Sometimes, less is more. I understand the decision to use medals and farming (since changing armor), but it's completely unnecessary. I'd prefer it to be a level unlock or a mutation mechanic that I could implement by purchasing them from shops.

(This is just a personal note. I use the shop more now, but I also see that it has a lot of production tables. Why not use the shop as a means of production where I can drop off my raw materials and, for a fixed cost, have them produced, with the quantity increasing based on the shop level?)
