Pretty sure this user is just ragebaiting. Lot of that on the forums these days unfortunately.

They may be ragebaiting but what matters to me is being able to show undeniable facts so that passersby can have a more informed opinion. The amount of blatantly incorrect information that runs rampant on this forum in order to circlejerk against the game is insane lol.

Messaggio originale di Murdoch:
it doesn't matter how much was censored. The problem is that anything was censored. It is a matter of principle.

I've seen this argument before, and while I'm generally against censorship, I'm against the censorship of ideas, storylines, and the forced suppression of creative expression; I'm not against artists willingly and respectfully making changes to their art in a way that still matches their overall vision.

I just flat out don't consider Ready or Not to be one of those examples of a studio having to compromise on their vision; 3 character models having underwear on, now, doesn't change anything about the actual stories being told, here. VOID has already removed instances of nudity from the game long before any console talks were happening, and a few characters with their genitals out were nowhere near close to being the most controversial or unsettling part of this game. The storylines are still completely intact; 99.9% of the game's content is completely untouched by the censorship.

When I think censorship, I think things like what happened to C&C Generals; if the German release of C&C Generals was forced into being a global release, that would have been godawful. Or if L4D2's builds that had no gore at all was forced onto every user, that would really suck.

But what was "forced" upon us in RoN? We didn't lose any missions, we didn't lose any plot details, we still have the full CP questline in it's unmodified glory, we still have human trafficking rackets, etc.; all we got was that, like, 3 characters are wearing underwear now, and a kid had their animation changed. The child still regularly shocks new players, and the nude characters were not at all the thing that made those, like, 3 missions, so shocking. I'm really tired of people on this forum acting like this is at all comparable; I'm tired of people completely avoiding any sense of nuance in order to rage at a game and a studio that didn't even do the thing the circlejerk mob accused them of doing.

Messaggio originale di Ulfrinn:

There isn't actively a president acting like a dictator. There's a president exercising the authority he has already had to enforce laws that already existed that a very unhinged portion of the country cannot stand, so despite all evidence they scream "dictator" hoping the rest of us are going to agree with them. And it's clear who is intent on senselessly slaughtering the children. It's not the people who voted for Trump.

The crime-rate in Washington DC was on a decline for years under Biden due to progressive policy changes. Why was the deployment of the national guard necessary? Largely a distraction from the Epstein files if you ask me, but a good distraction because it's very clearly an overreach of power

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It started a decline in 2009 when SCOTUS overruled the city's ban on guns which finally let citizens carry in order to protect themselves from the out of control crime, and then started spiking right back up in 2014 when "defund the police" and "soft on crime" became staples of the liberal message.

It's rate of climb began skyrocketing in 2020, as violent crimes across the nation had been going up, and seen an unusually large surge in 2023, came down from that surge back to it's normal position in 2024, and that is the decrease liberals have been trying to market as a trend of declining crime. Which only existed from a year of record high to the next. All the while still being one of the highest crime cities in the country.
