It will be actually ridiculous for them to ask for your ID.
If they want to verify that you're 18+, then they could make it like Steam, so you can just click any date you like & confirm that you're 18+.

I don't think many people will agree with ID verification or at least I hope so. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no matter from which way looking at it. It's obviously isn't done to protect any children.

I have played the game before and everything worked perfectly fine. Now when i start the game it only shows the background color with no buttoms to start the game. Did anyone have a similar issue?

EA famously fired all of the pvz devs over microtransations in pvz 2. they have complete control over the game

I'm only hazarding a guess, but I think the game is supposed to feel that way by design. It's supposed to be retro inspired, as there's even a retro filter that's turned on by default. It's either that, or the game is just poorly optimized. There isn't a clear answer.

If you want your experience to be a bit more playable, I found that turning off the retro filter and dynamic global illumination settings gave me a performance boost. The downside to that is the game won't look the way it should.

highly doubt the dev wanted the game to feel laggy to fit its retro theme.
I would of just been an option to add artificial laggyness
the filter just tanks performance
