Yes, mods reside on publisher's servers and without using account you don't have any access to them. If publisher decides to take down any content it'll be forever gone just like that. That's pretty simple definition of drm.

this is the wildest delusion, my mods reside locally on my machine. also any mods you pull down to play reside locally if you aren't using the community mod injector. please educate yourself before you speak

It's an additional drm on top of things. Always online is not enough for them. It's pretty... annoying to say the least. Best part is that closing the mod launcher accidentally gets you kicked out of the game immediately.

At least the shields did protect when i tested it.

As mentioned, my quess is that you might have accidently built something which made the Power Draw higher than production by either building (or activating) a machine, or building in a generator.

As specially the building in a Generator happened to me a lot as i was moving them arround, all of a sudden the Power went out and i had to look around again which Turbine is no longer moving.
Sometimes they turn off with a little delay, so hard to tell which one went out again. XD
My solution since then is to always build them where they have enough space and arent to close to the main-building area anymore.

The thing is, even if the power went out somehow, firstly the walls would have been degraded, wich is not the case since all the walls were perfectly in tact, then the sub fief would be unsheltered and also degraded after some time , but instead walls are fine and an NPC killed sub fief.

Again, this is 100% not intended and is an issue and the devs said they will fix this in next update, so even if the power was out i lost all my things due to an exploit abused by a player.
