In the EU, yes.

The GDPR forbids processing of 'special categories' of personal data that can reveal among other things ethnicity, as is the case with a mug shot. Processing those is only allowed under a limited set of exemptions.

Of those exemptions, there are only two that can apply to age verification.
The first is direct consent of the data subject.
The second is serving a public interest based in law.

Consent though, must be freely given - i.e. may not have negative consequences such as being refused (parts of) a service if not done so - to be considered legally valid consent. Thus it cannot be used as an exemption for age verification, because that introduces the negative consequence of being refused part of service if you refuse to consent to having a picture of your face taken.

For the case of a public interest based in law the requisite law would be the Digital Services Act. Specifically article 28 of the Digital Services Act that asks for the protection of minors online. However, the same article also limits that responsibility and states platforms cannot be required to integrate age-checks that require collecting additional personal data. Thus there is actually no basis in law for age verification via a face picture and the exemption cannot actually be used.



These barriers are intentional. And part of a wider strategy of the EU for privacy-first identity management and minimal disclosure towards the corporate private sector. Part of that strategy is the EU is working on their digital identity wallet solution, which is supposed to start using cryptographic zero-knowledge proofs to be able to prove simple factums such as whether you're of legal age, without actually leaking personal data - making it actually compatible with article 28 of the DSA.

"Free consent" you're seriously trying to say now that its completely voluntary without losing any functionality so that no one will ever actually do it? lol that defeats the entire point, again look at Twitter forced by the DSA to lock away content behind ID check.
What good has the EU done for you that you would run defense for them like this? Are you paid? Are you just trolling? Just say you support it because you're a ♥♥♥♥ parent or whatever, thatd be more respectable than spreading this missinformation pretending to understand peoples concerns.

Found more answers. For the audio language, only Polish is available by default if I'm not wrong. For subtitles, it's in French, ok, there seems to have many errors in translactions, but that will make the job anyway.

Now concerning the controller, I changed like this (with the ingame options) to be more or less configured like in KAO 2:

Jump/Action --> pad1 (A)
Attack --> pad3 (X)
Rolling --> pad2 (B)
Throw --> pad4 (Y)

That should be enough for me to play this game in good enough config... pfew!!
