Show me an example in Wilds where this is happening. Because after 500+ hours playing the game, I haven't encounter such an area.
You know what's really happening? Situational awareness. How many video you seen of people falling off cliff in souls games?

The example is you, actually.

The OP said that the tight arenas make things too hard to see and you said that it was because of AI. You defended the fact that people are fighting the camera thus acknowledging the existence of the problem.
You should really stop basing your senseless accusations on reports from others comments. You sound like a paid hater of the franchise to expand on points not verified or expanded upon especially since you've never played the game yourself.

Is it wrong for me to be a bit annoyed when the monster happens to end up in a area so small it's like fighting in a hallway that's just big enough for the monster to fit in, and the rest of the team fights it there instead of luring it out to an open area?

I feel like it's way easier to die fighting in a tight space because it's hard to see and you don't have hardly any room to maneuver. Especially when the monster has blast attacks.

I'm just not a player that cam play that close constantly and not get hit. And when I do get hit, I have no where to run because the area is too small.

The feel that a monster can attack you as you are running through a corridor to get away to try and heal is part of the thrill of the hunt. People sometimes just don't give a care about where the monster is because they are just in smash mode. The camera can be adjusted and you can pull them out of these areas through many means. If you can't fight in those tight spots(lets be real and state Gore in the cliffs is the major perpetrator), then set up a shout or call out to ask others, "please pull out into open area". Many would listen and accept. When you're too invested the instinct to hunt that takes over causes many to not even focus on surrounding because they're locked-in.
