Generally speaking, fewer characters = fewer enemies. More characters = more enemies. More characters also = more elite enemies.

The scenario level is calculated against your party. It's half the average of your levels. If you have a level 7 character and two level 2 characters, that's ((7+2+2)/3)/2, rounded up to 2. If instead you were playing with 3 level 2 characters, that's (2+2+2)/3/2, which equals 1. So you've only experienced a single uptick in scenario difficulty despite having a great advantage in having a level 7 character with their additional strong abilities and HP pool and perks.

If you want to see the maths written out, it's all available online in the Frosthaven rule book and scenario books. You can see the scenario layouts and which enemies will start where depending on player count. You can also look up the Frosthaven Card Browser site to see all enemy stats for every scenario level, including what their possible ability cards are.

I've played physical and digital Frosthaven plus physical and digital Gloomhaven. The digital version is really any harder to win that physical Frosthaven. The rules are the same since Frosthaven digital is an implementation of the same rule set.

If you're having trouble with a particular scenario, you can always drop the difficulty down. Most veteran players that I've watched playing the game have been playing on maximum difficulty level which greatly buffs the scenario level. So they're fighting extremely strong enemies but also getting more gold rewards from loot bags. Mistakes at that difficulty level will be the difference between winning or losing, and I would certainly not recommend that new players play at anything higher than standard difficulty.

nah, if you must have a derangement, give me split personality with triggers that completely change my character sheet / abilities, now we are talking. a random fabien in my head? since when is Schizophrenia the sole thing behind a malkavian?

I understand that a split personality trait will probably never in a game. but still I get your comment, but no thanks.

The community adds the tag. It doesn't even mean anything. Personally I wonder why we have that ability. It makes no sense.

Could be, would make sense since I've only seen two event items on the market as of last night, the ones with a black text title instead. Only things I can add is I started a new file and have been carrying around the Geiger counter. I didn't have to be going too fast when I hit it and when I did it exploded into a lot of small parts before they disappear after like 10ish seconds. Though I did go through it a second time and it said I got another blue outlined item, the actual picture is whited out so you can't actually see it but going back to my Steam inventory it says I only got the one still so I wonder if I gotta start another file... another test I suppose is in order.

There are the forum_bans (by the devs, generally) and the community_bans that block all of your account rights except playing and buying (by the Steam moderators only).
