По-моему, этот прикол остался со времён, когда только появились эти робо-животные: они питались углеродными колбасками, на что норот справедливо возмутился. Разработчики перевели их на ионные батарейки, а всё остальное перевести забыли. Эти зверюшки даже наевшись батареек, оставляют после себя обычные органические какашки :-)

To be fair, the 75% sales were usually during all the big Steam sales (winter sale, summer sale, etc.), whereas this one is just a random one in-between which coincides with gw2's anniversary. Maybe the regular sales during the next big Steam sale will be more than these random sales, it's like that for many other games too.
(though everything has been getting more expensive in general, so it's hard to say, maybe not)
For some reason, during the last major sale they reduced the discount on the first 2 expansions but increased it for the Living World, causing the Elder Dragon Saga Complete Colection to stay at the same price. Which in theory simply means that relatively this package is now more attractive than the first 2 expansions. But it doesn't really change hat much since the Elder Dragon Saga Complete Collection always has been the best deal anyways, and buying the first 2 expansions first would mean you can no longer buy this package.

This is very interesting, I must say. I didn't know they made changes to the prices for LW too. If it isn't just a straight up price hike, then maybe it is deliberate on their part to "motivate" people to get the complete collection instead of the starter pack, especially on Steam since, as you also mentioned, people often don't know they can't get the other bundle after the starter pack and end up locking themselves out of the complete saga.
Not gonna lie, this actually might be hinting at a possible revamp of the pricing and bundles, where the complete saga will become the new starter pack with a slightly reduced price (due to age and to help new players with accessibility). Would make a lot of sense with all the new expansions pilling up as well.
In any case, good stuff since the complete saga is defo the better deal
