Newish player here. I've learned recently after deciding to go hard on magic that if you want your mages to mostly blast you should avoid certain research paths.

As an example you are playing Phaecia with strong air and some water/astral, if you want your storm captains to mostly spam shockwave you could go to alteration 2 (to get personal mistform and on the way grab quicken self) and then evocation, if you grabbed alteration 3, you'd get mistform which is a troop buff that the ai seems to prioritize and they'd just sit back and give mistform to everyone till exhaustion.

Additionaly to shockwave and similar close range spells for mages, if you have shock resistant or few troops around, they are more likely to use it to avoid it. You can also force mages to use close range magic on script by giving them an attack order for a turn and then shovkwave, just be wary of range the attack order is just a turn and means they may still be too far to cast it and go off script.

What's the deal with photomode? I know CDPR did some updates to it. Are ALL photomode mods busted then? Photomode unlocker, for example?

You can read what they changed with photomode in the patch notes[www.cyberpunk.net], basically those changes have broken most mods, double check on nexus what is working or not.

You can always rollback the game to 2.21 using steam betas feature if you don't feel like updating your game at all and just want to keep using your old mods as they were.

Thank you for the info. I'm just going to uninstall and start all over. I can't play most games without mods anymore, but I'm not looking forward to the next 3 days of work before I can fire up the game! Man, I had my game PERFECT, too. Oh well!

What do you guys have for pedal linearity? That's the only thing I cant nail down, so I don't have much time with ams2. I want to solve this though so asking others what they run.

What kind of level does Hunter need for z16? And how does Knight support 3 research slots?

Best I can do for research is about 710/hr with perfect Hunter kills, which doesn't quite support 3 slots (and eats potions and makes my xp pretty slow), so I just got it to 90 and switched to Knight for 90 next (was that or priest). But my Hunter isn't even close to being able to do z16. I do have generally bad equipment all around though, because my crafting levels are all mid, nothing 30 yet.
