but the game is not in 2025 its still back in the year of 2007 when it was made and there it will stay as the game is complete , finished ..... abandoned

what your asking is like saying hey pacman only has a guy charicter re code that game (i know miss pacman exists but thats another game made at a different time)

also depending on how its implemented there would be no change to the game at all even if there was another charicter as most servers ive been on have 80% demo 10% heavy 5% soldier 2% medic 1% pyro 1% scout 1% spy

people just love demo as sticky spam or demoknight so if there was another class would people see it or would they go meh im still gonna play what i want as got all the cosmetics for my prefered class you cant flaunt your professional killstreak sticky launcher on a scout or use demoman only taunts on a pyro so people would possibly stick with their mains resulting in the new charicter being under played and then we have another thread like the one discussing if under played maps should be scrapped from the game completly to reduce game size

so alternative idea instead of asking for someone to dig up a buried game learn how to alter the core code insert a new class give the new class some new gimmick or it will just be another reskin of an existing class balance the new class come up with alternate weapons for the new class so many balance checks that we are looking at possibly 1 year+ dev work time glitch checking witch could take even longer.....

its simpler to just imagine this class you want existed and for bugs or because it was unbalanced it got removed create fake memorys of you playing that non existent class think of the taunts it had imagine the class specific achievements and have your own nostalgia from something that never happened

as what your asking is way too late to be added now it would take too long for not enough gain as the community has a saying if your unhappy with a game ........MOD it yourself!!!

and dont say its the devs job some of those that contributed to this game are dead already RIP soldier so unless your practicing necromancy expecting the creators of this game to rework it is just unreasonable should i dig up your kindergarden fingerpainting then say hmmm this is bad re do it how long past the games last dev made addition do you have to wait before you say any addition is by another company which leads to the whole ownership VS authorship as if valve replaced all of its devs are they still the ones that made TF2 the company is the same name right?

i did read the second edit and yes its an old game its also a finished game no it dont need to bend to modern standards as others also dont meet your criteria and are also still being played today example ....
iron brigade (shock horror there is no female charicters anywhere in the whole game)
Halo (outragous that he does whole levels without his AI friend thats a significant boost in male only charicter lvls)
Dead space 1 (whats this no female playable charicter also this game just got remade recently and still no female playable charicter)
DOOM franchise (obvious reasons)

also yes this game is being played today but is it being updated today? im not talking about comunity updates im talking about the actual devs

also i beleve that "MODERN" society cannot be trusted so bending things to suit modern problems will destroy the game like the fall of little big planet that game the devs wanted it to be enjoyed by everyone ....... then it got ruined now its online portion is gone forever

also the modern social standards of today is subjective as im sure this game is played world wide and thus the social standards per country is also different ive seen so many problems created by people that wanted to change the standard in places that everything was working fine just because it didnt align to their vision of an ideal world

this is relivent as so many play this game today as its how they want it to be if you want to shoot others from long range as a sniper fortnite is that away>
if you start changing it to bend to modern things it may wind up like Disney live action movies

also how much of these animations people keep talking about are cannon? not valve stated cannon (ownership) im saying cannon from the person that actualy wrote the game (authorship) as before i try to sift through any of the out of game content i need to know if its actualy in game universe or 3rd party fan fic that valve said yeh whatever to

Everyone is so excited fore new update that... whole 6k people play the game.

Guess you have never played or looked at POE1 player counts, the same thing happens there every league. Even after the huge reveal of the last league after not having one for 10 months, the game still barely had anyone playing (only 5->10k) until the league dropped then it always shoots up to around 200k. Same thing will happen in POE2, free weekend or not.

But do you not think with a new game they would be looking to break this cycle with better player retention ?

What I would like is to be able to see the previous 7 days by hour, and set opening times in the same UI, to optimize payroll expenses, etc.
