Yeah I've been on the "no way in hell will I buy" side of things, but it actually looks solid...at least the combat and vampire badassery. The clan paywall is enough for a boycott however :/

Its not broken, it intentionally shows the landing animation only when you first land any place, then any further landings in same place skip the landing animation to save time, since the game is so enormous, you wont get put outside wihtout a spacesuit if you already had one on and the auto-hide spacesuit feature enabled, its setting is in the spacesuit inventory screen.

If you prefer it, there's a free mod on Nexus for forcing landing animation on every landing, its called 'Landing Animation Reloaded'.

The voiced protagonist only works in small games, as its extremely limiting on how many dialogues you can engage, Starfield was never meant to be small game, there's simply too many quests and things going on for a fully voiced protagonist, he grunts and such, let that be enough lol.

Not at all, we can change anything we want as modders with complete freedom and few constraints, but we were not the ones finalizing the game for release, their intention is obviously to save time, so they went half way, you see the landing animation every single time you land for the first time somewhere, otherwise it skips it on further landings there.

Its a design choice, and you can safely assume they made it intentionally. Such a setting would seem overkill, too fine grained, given they already have a ton of gameplay settings available, they had to pick what they thought was most impactful, mods can add more gameplay options, and can modify whatever we please, but thats beyond the scope of finalizing a game for release, surely they had bigger things to contend with, and already thoughtfully chose what they wanted anyway.

I have no problem with learning something new but I like it concrete, so are there any sources or proves for that theory?

From testing I'm like 95% sure the 'missile_gunpowder' attribute under stat_pri in the EDU gives some sort of morale debuff. Unless the shield piercing attribute (wich is also regulated by 'missile_gunpowder' as confirmed by the engine overhaul project devs) increases killing power so much that that is what causes morale drops on units.

I would think the units taking morale damage because so many dudes die quickly, but yes engine overhaul project devs should know an concrete answer to that question.

The ACMI exhibit is really soon - People absolutely need to be able to have played it for a good chunk of time before that spoils the whole damned lot for all time.

That is one exhibit I would not go to see for at least 8 to 10 months after playing Silksong.
