I accidentally left them applied for too long, ruining prop. Said ♥♥♥♥ it, I've seen people flip with worse damage and get repaired and go back up. Intentionally flipped plane to stop sooner...

ruined my prop from braking too hard. Was my bad for not paying attention to the prop, but should probably give you a clue that I was already on the ground,
from your own description all evidence suggests your idea of 'knowing how to land' is woefully inadequate, a landing involves more than just getting your wheels on the ground

you can make all the excuses and justifications you like but you still screwed up the landing through inatention and/or lack of skill and are trying to make excuses to save your own ego because its somehow gaijins fault you didnt survive an accident you caused yourself

the difference between us is if this happened to me i would be looking at what happened in replay figuring out if i could have done something better, replicating in test flight to practice if i found something to improve on, whereas your first reaction is apparently to claim you did everything right and its not your fault...

Well idk what to tell you, bud. I do. Been playing this game for quite some time, had to figure it out eventually during that time. Most times it works out, some times it goes wrong. Sucks but oh well, just a game. Said time and time again, did it on purpose, taking the risk, and unfortunately it didn't work out. Oh well! Now that I know that the pilot can get injured from hitting the ground like that (yeah I know sounds obvious, didn't know Gaijin put 'that' level of detail into the game), I will be careful next time and know not to go straight into a discussion forum. Clearly, THAT was a mistake lol. Did I freak out a little too much? Absolutely, that's on me. Do I regret making this discussion? YUP! But what's done is done, and I know better now that my head is clearer. Also I had this plane for a little while to learn that the brakes were strong af. Like I said, took a risk. Just a little mistake that I unnecessarily blew up. Damage control? Absolutely :) Also don't tell me you don't get mad at the game for BS. We all do ;) Gonna unsub from this now, realized it's pointless to continue. Hope to see you in the game!!

i really dont know if i would compare the "you die now" mechanics of some games, like getting oneshot from offscreen, or trigger an undetectable one shot trap, etc. that you CANT avoid with human possible means, to the "hate jump ins", "bounty fleets", or whatever you wanna call it, of star valor...

they are anoyingly random in their timing and positioning, yes. i give you that, even more so if you are playing the dlc, where they are become a serious nuisance early on. but i dont think they are a "you die now" thing.

first, if your ship is fast enough, you can actually easily outrun them, or even, if you fly in the right direction away from them before they finish their warp in (in case of marauders at least), completely ignore them, as their aggro range is tiny (you can even outrange it and kill them one by one without the rest engaging).

second... emergency warp exists for a reason. they dont follow you nowhere. if you get a warp in in the sector you are in atm. and leave, they vanish, the timer is reset, and you avoided them completely (also works with just saving / reloading).

third, you can just stealth later on. fourth, you can just kill them. fifth, you can fly to a nearby npc station and "dock" which completely takes your ship out of the physical realm in regards to beeing attackable / rammable / etc. (this also works in enemy sectors that have friendly to you stations, where 50+ hunter fleet vessels just spread out again, because for them you are no longer there).

sure, they might get you once or twice.. but if they get you a third time.. you know the saying about getting fooled...

later on, i even find it anoying that those take so long to actually show up... because outside of those 52+ silver / goldstars? theres nothing else to do worth doing...

so if you come ill prepared for whatever reason, learn first, strike later... taking every juicy "you will often get attacked by more powerful enemies" perk / crew / ship as a newcomer that doesnt know the tricks to avoid early death... dont do it... take stuff that lets you learn first, reap in the juicy bits later, once knowledge is accumulated.

i know this sounds like a preaching, but sadly thats how it works... you dont hear any of the older players nag about those fleets... guess why that is?
This. Plus many sectors have turrets. If you are in Syndicate or PMC space, they will fire at Red Skulls and marauders.
well obviously one who plays the game and knows all the ins and outs will not have difficulty here. I think the issue is that it feels like a punch in the face because noting n the game is even remotely that difficult until that. Im slowly getting my ship and fleet more optimized. Its just hard to tell because these are the only events that really test your build. And running is always an option. I jsut never think of it in the thick of combat.
