I mean I actually made an official post on the Discord Suggestions section about a specific playstyle flavored wolf. Even went into details on abilities if ya wanna check it out. Xue Lang I believe is what I went with name wise.

Did the dev leave any comment?

I loaded up the CERC hq pub branch, how do I invite my friends to a horde match? I clearly must be doing something wrong. I only see Remote play but no other method of invites. Need some direction here.

Of course it is not an option. The entire Borderlands series (the main games that is), are specific Vault Hunters with their own stories.

This isn't a build your own adventure. Pre-created vault hunters to choose from is a staple of the series, just like Borderlands 1, 2, The Pre Sequel, and 3. What about that concept are you not grasping?

But with a more open world, most brand new characters. It wouldn't hurt to have customizable characters. they could put story behind class choice or choose your own backstory sorta deal.

But lets be real. It doesn't matter. What matters is the loot that drops from dead things. Story, characters, looks, its all meh. What matters are how fast you can kill big baddy and how many orange beams it drops.

I would say do not inject that into the existing series. If a new series is started in the Borderlands' universe, then have more of that customization at the start would be fine. Certainly expand and build upon the prior installments, but do not mess with core elements.

Customizing character, be it their sex/gender or something else, is something for a new series of games. It is not something to introduce into an existing series.

It definitely wasn't a bright idea on their part. They probably thought it would help the game to have everyone with criticisms leave the community. What it actually did was galvonize the community that had concerns, into a force against the developers that attacked them. That never ever EVER ends well for a game or game company. (See list of hundreds of closed game studios that tried doing this over the past 5+ years.)

For me, I'll either find a game I enjoy, or will get to watch the next dumpster fire while having a bag of popcorn at launch. I'm good either way.

I know that you guys already know this; you know what you're doing. I'm just spelling it out so that anyone dropping by might learn the real context of this megamerged "thread".

I've criticized specific things like teaming mechanics, housing, and (theoretical) pricing, while offering constructive suggestions and ideas in return. I'm not here to work out my grievances with the world or perceived slights, I'm just here to help. The entire reason why I've earned so many Steam store points on this forum (chiefly paid in jester awards, of course) is because I won't join in attacking the developers with childish bullying like, "This is so bad WTF" and "Game will be dead in a month". You guys need to go back to school because that is not "criticism". It's just classic bullying. And, yeah, of course, as soon as the bullies receive a little pushback, they turn into a total force of galvanized Karens. It's not right, thus I don't condone it, and FYI you don't get to be one of the Karens but also "just be here eating popcorn."
