Loving FS2024. So many exaggerated claims of crashes and poor performance. It is nowhere near as bad as some like to claim.

People really want to hate this game. But at least they update 2020 as well. Other haters spammed every post with comments like "They've been promising updates for 2020 for 10 years! I feel betrayed!" Thankfully, that bashing has stopped now that Microsoft/Asobo are still updating 2020.
Microsoft/Asobo made failures when launching 2025 and this caused the most bad reviews. A lot of things that were working in 2020 was not in 2025. The career mode was bugged but this was their unique selling point and was promoted heavily. Seemed like Microsoft/Asobo didn't tested enough.
But yeah, the Flight Simulator is getting better and 2020 still gets updates. I like the game and don't have problems running it.

Help on Templar difficulty

The main challenge of playing on the "Templar" difficulty is that you can’t use divine power until you reach the level of Acre and must rely solely on your fencing skills and finding healing salves throughout the level.

In the catacombs, your primary goal is to reach the Executioner boss with minimal HP loss. The biggest difficulty comes from the hooded executioner enemies with the Fire Brand—they can interrupt your attack combos by hitting you during your animation, which is one of the most frustrating early-game mechanics. The simplest (almost dumb but effective) strategy is to lure them one by one into a corridor and use the heavy attack (default **W** key, without directional input)—a long overhead slash. This attack has great range with a sword (the axe, which you can get before the Executioner arena, is shorter, so the sword is better). By using heavy attacks, you control the distance, and if a Fire Brand enemy gets hit, they’re stunned for a couple of seconds, letting you spam the same attack in a corner. It’s easy to exploit, and aside from knights with greatswords and the Executioner himself, no enemies at this stage can break your block (default **E** key).

Now, the **Executioner**: his attacks are wide-swinging. His moveset includes:
- A **groin strike** that breaks block and knocks you back.
- A **heavy single axe swing** that breaks block and staggers you if you’re blocking.
- **Short axe jabs**—his main combo.

The key strategy is to reach him with as much HP as possible (there are 1-2 healing salves in the arena), maintain distance, and attack during his recovery after axe jabs. If you swapped your starting sword for the one in the forge after leaving the monastery or found in the catacombs, spacing will be easier since it’s longer than your initial weapon.
