issues happened with havoc missions now wonder if its a bug in general my pc seems to be in spec still

There is currently a bug where if you manage to have 45 buffs active, it will cause the game to crash. Arbitrator is generally the easiest to proc enough to cause a crash, but it applies to any class.

Check the report next time the game crashes and if you see this, it's the buff crash:
[Script Error]: ...ements/player_buffs/hud_element_player_buffs_polling.lua:540: attempt to index local 'widget' (a nil value)

i think when people say "clutter", it's a direct reference to mafia 3's collectibles.
in contrast, mafia 1 classic had a mini-map that was "cluttered", but all that info was useful (police cars plus civilian cars).
mafia 2/1:de pulled it back and kept it to police cars. which is less relevant in the old country since there wouldn't be any of the info that was in 2/1:de (police vehicles).

that's a pretty accurate description of how minimal hud mode is in 1:de.
dumbest moment was the escape from the bank, didn't know where i was going, accidentally went around the bank and ended up back in front (where i somehow lost all the cops). i looked at the advanced hud settings, it's interesting they felt the option was moot enough to leave out.

I can't speak for the other user directly but what I got from their post referencing "clutter", they were talking about the screen feeling cluttered. Not the mini-map itself.

when we have to start a fresh game from a huge update, i normally play on Tourist for a little bit to get a little settled in and then turn the difficulty to Rookie and yes it seems the "Lowlifes" dont attack or raid my base at Tourist AND it seems the npc's i need for quests like the Mayor and my workers from my Grand Shack wont appear til you're at least Rookie and above, so it seems to be a YES for your question.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I may just keep it at tourist till I get more experience. I am finding there is a lot the game does not tell you and there have not really been any good game resources I could find explaining things.

I do think it would be cool if on the difficulty screen the horde intensity was independent of the other options. Maybe a slider at the bottom or something. I've seen posts of people who play and the hardest setting, but do not necessarily like the horde amount that comes with it.
