The point, as always, is to discourage people from buying the game. They don't care if what they post is true as long as they don't buy games their movement doesn't agree with. If Steam were smart, they'd ban them from doing so but instead they allow them to flood these forums with garbage day in and day out.

Congratulations on misrepresenting the nuance in the discussion. That one is about people lying about Shadows costing 400m to make. This one is about a company releasing DLC for their buggy, unfinished game that's still in early access. I love when foolish people try to manipulate what's being said.

An employee saw the company owner murder someone on the cameras, that employee downloads the cameras footage (which he already has access to, but was barred from moving footage off-site)

That employee is in breach of policy, by taking that footage off-site..... but the owner cannot claim that evidence is inadmissible because it was "stolen"..... well, they can claim it, but the court would toss that claim immediately

That's not a great example though, because it's mixing up civil and criminal charges, for which there are different standards. There have been cases where people illegally stole evidence that exonerated them of a criminal charge, but they were still subject to an additional charge for that theft. There is also a different standard for admission of evidence that's obtained illegally if it's being used in defense (to clear yourself of charges) versus to prosecute someone else. The former is sometimes allowed, the latter is usually always forbidden.

Besides that point, you generally cannot breach a contract and then sue someone else for breaching the same contract. If the founders were illegally downloading emails and documents from Krafton-owned servers for the intent of suing Krafton, that's probably not permissible if proven and would be a breach. Again, this isn't like whistle-blowing or other cases where there are legal exceptions to taking confidential information. If Krafton was not committing a crime, it's difficult to justify why information needed to be stolen.
