[SUGGESTION] Could we have a compass, please?

Nothing will be done as you posted in the wrong sub forum and this will be treated as a discussion only. Just like all your other suggestion thread, they are all in the wrong sub forum, so they will also see no action taken on them.

Compass isn't needed. You can pin a destination on the map, that pin marker will show up on the screen, point your character to the marker and go.

When on the map, there is a face icon of your character showing where you are on the map. Next to that icon is a set of flashing lines telling you the direction you are facing.

Build a trail marker so that player created map markers and pin markers are visible on the screen.

There's more than enough tools available for navigation that adding more is not necessary, just have to learn how too use them.

This isn't some kind of military, shooting based type game that requires precision aiming and it's PVE only where a compass would be beneficial.

I like how you automatically assume nothing will happen if I say things. Sure, this is in the wrong forum, but that doesn't mean the devs never look here, and I am actively trying to locate the proper forum (which people seem to enjoy taunting me with by not just linking me to it) so I can transfer my commentary there.

As I stated before, I've made many posts in the discussion forums on Steam, and had devs reply directly to me saying they would look into it. I also notice that when I make posts like this and they draw a lot of replies or attention, it draws devs to at least look at what's being said, so thanks for replying; it actually helps me get the attention I'm looking for.

I did not ask what options exist already, nor am I unaware of them or how they work. I know how to set markers, how to use landmarks (when they're even visible) and all the currently there ways to navigate.

When I place markers using the map, they often aren't synced with the location. I can mark an ant nest entrance on the map, for example, and go to it, only to be standing out in the middle of the grass someplace, nowhere near the entrance I marked. Yes, I can set flags down physically, but those are also surprisingly inaccurate. And even using those, there's the issue of elevation. If the location you are looking for is high up, or underground, the map can only show you a marker; it won't indicate if you need to climb to reach the point in question, or go down a tunnel. I didn't even address than in this post.

The various features that are present in the game right now work to an extent, but out of them all the one that tells you simply which direction you're facing requires you to open the map every few minutes, and not to get turned around by getting attacked or having to navigate through all the trenches, tunnels and blockages that you encounter trying to get around. This instead of making the game more fun or immersive, tends to just be annoying, which is why I'm suggesting a change.

Thanks for your opinion here, but no... the game really does need a compass, and the lore and tech of the game clearly supports the SCAB.E having one built into it.
