I think we need massive nerfs to stealth, to add a skill cap to it, and make it more than just a selfish detriment to the group. All stealth in the game need to not drop aggro on the player while they are invisible. The mobs can aimlessly look around while the player is invis even though they are still aggro'ed on the invisible player, which will stop players from dumping all the aggro onto their team. Once the invis player comes out of invisibility all the mobs that were tracking them all instantly run straight back toward that same player, and continue to be aggroed on that player unless some other event causes aggro to change. This will create a better situation where good players can use invisibility as a boon for their group, but lower skilled players will have to figure out how they are going to deal with the piles of enemies, they would have otherwise dumped onto the team. But turning invisibility into a functional 6 seconds (or however long it lasts) of invincibility, while you can machine gun elites and specials down with throwing knives or even grenades would be massively worse for the game than castigator's stance's 10 seconds of functional invulnerability already is.
You haven't played vet or stealth yet have you? Go try it. It does this already.
I actively avoid invis builds, I tried invis for a few matches years ago, it bored me even on thammer. but I've definitely had several dozen invis players dump their aggro on my group.

After having played Overwatch for 8 years, I agree. Even then, Overwatch was never this toxic amongst teammates. I don't mind harmless trash talking from opponents. It's the constant whining, complaining, nitpicking and overall toxicity from teammates that makes Marvel Rivals ranks unpleasant.

In Overwatch, players wouldn't even swap because they thought that was a cop-out. In Marvel Rivals, you have teammates bullying you to swap until "it works."

I often find that the players that are the most toxic are the ones that are overcompensating. They're often the least skillful player on the team.
Well, Overwatch 1 was P2P and Overwatch 2 being free didn't bring that much new players because it was considered dead by the most of non-playing people already.
And Marvel Rivals has PLENTY of them, most of them playing a competitive hero shooter for the first time. Many of them are kids/young people who get frustrated easily.

Yet I kinda agree with aalba, even if he's being to blunt and straighforward about that. It's your own objective to moderate how much this game frustrates you. At some point old players just burn out, for example I'm mostly playing QP and instalocking Iron Man now because it's fun. Winning is not that important, what important is your experience. It's especially joyful when people start counterpicking and focusing you, because it's a proper competition.
Absolutely. If an individual is averaging 5 hours per day, it's time to take a break, or lower time played if you're very frustrated.

I purchased Overwatch 2. Crazy to think that now with the over-saturation of free-to-play games. I agree. But Overwatch 2 is less toxic now with Marvel Rivals out. Most games, I am just pinging enemies and saying "Thank you in chat" with the mouse wheel. No need for needless whining and complaints.

With Marvel Rivals, I average 2 hours per day. I play 2-3 times per week. I want to have fun, win or lose, as long as it was fair and competitive. But that isn't always the case. I agree that it's about the experience. But Season 3 reeks of people playing this game like they were being paid a salary.
