Everyone knows of this, it's the literal posterboy of "play as the monster" that society refuses to give us more of.

only played for over an hour but the game runs great at max setting at 2k. using a 9070 (not xt) and a 9800x3d amd cpu. will see if later on i may come across any issues but as of now, butter smooth.

agree honestly. unless if you get literally no drones, you basically just mow everything down without even lifting a finger, which is honestly kinda a shame because it's conceptually one of my favorite red items. i think if the item were to get nerfed, the only thing you would have to do is just remove the chaingun's bullets bouncing to additional enemies, so that it doesn't just nuke half the enemies on screen whenever your armada decides to open fire on a single beetle, and somehow manage to wipe out 5 of them.

honestly, when they first talked about giga buffing the drones, i kinda felt like it was rather redundant and unnecessary. healing drones heal better than most white healing items, gunner drones work well as distractions, gunner turrets can mow down crowds of enemies in the early game, and missile, incinerator, equipment, etc., all have their unique use cases that help them see use (except TC-280). however, recently ive started have several runs where i just get absolute swarmed with drones in the early game, putting a significant dent in the amount of items i walk out of stage 1, 2, and even sometimes 3. getting a handful of drones/turrets in the early game is generally a good thing, but when you have 4 healing drones, 2 gunner drones, a turret nowhere near the tp, and less items than drones while your prepping for the teleporter, it sorta becomes a major buzzkill. so yeah, ive kinda drifted towards being more in favor of the rework cuz making them feel more worth the money you put into them feels like a good idea, although i hope to god it doesn't make them feel too strong. they're supposed to be weak, not a flying death machine that insta kills everything.
