Just an update on this thread - pushed a patch for the demo that adds bunch more settings, including a sensitivity slider!

In fact, there are two sensitivity slider - one for movement, and one for looking (turning). The affect both M+K and Joystick.

Let me know if this helps make the experience better!

(FYI You can actually play the game entirely with the mouse and just use the WASD or Arrow keys to move, just in case that wasn't entirely clear)
That's a contradiction, if you need to use WASD to move you're not playing entirely with the mouse.

Sorry I meant these as different options. You can play (almost) entirely with the mouse, left button moves you towards the cursor, right button uses the tool, and middle button lets you jump. The only thing you can't do right now is eject trash and I'm thinking of a good way to handle that (maybe right clicking ON the trashcan?)

We really need extra tutorial explaining that, but it's meant to be doable!

This was actually what I found the most frustrating thing about the keyboard/mouse pairing; having to keep the mouse pointer ahead of the player character while still facing the trash and not moving "forward" when I press the button that usually makes me go forward, it's very confusing. There's a reason I'm not a pianist, I can't get both hands to do completely independent tasks like this - it's beyond patting your head and rubbing your tummy, it's folding laundry while writing your shopping list.

The current scheme (for both M+K and joystick) follows Twin Stick convention right now, which is usually common in lots of isometric action games. What you're describing sounds a bit like traditional Tank controls, if I'm not misunderstanding? Maybe we could add a setting that switches the control schemes to let players pick between the two, hmm...
