After a small amount of testing since posting. Changing from the Beta client to 'stable', on steam seems to for now be a solution.

I see a lot of talk about LOD pop in, low detail textures, grass draw distance, etc. I feel like clever modders who know what they're doing are able to address these legacy limitations quite regularly, and the remaster has been out for four years.

Hoping there's at least something. Nexus has the usual suspects: Game mechanics tweaks and Reshades.

Why did you preorder in the first place? The game gets released in two months, there is zero reason to buy it right now, even if you like everything it offers.
