ok there is a thread with all the error codes but this one the link to the thread on how to fix it has been dleted so how in the heck do you fix it?

I've been trying to play Civ 5 but every time I click on play and the launcher I get an installation completion that goes to about 69% and then gives me a message and the error code 53. How do I fix

I've followed the guidelines on Steam support, but to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

this is exactly what i get after it says "completing installation" after 100%
i have this issue with Left for Dead 2 and Portal 2.
does anyone have a solution for this?
