[Development Update] – Mod List Restructure as Foundation for Factions & Ground Combat Visual Overhaul

Over the last few weeks, I’ve restructured the mod load order from the ground up.
This isn’t just for faster load times — it’s the operational backbone for the next two major development goals:



1. Faction Restoration
• The new load order prioritizes political, ethics, and civic mods in a way that keeps their event hooks intact.
• This clears the path for the Faction Fix Patch to fully restore faction support, eliminate the “0% support” bug, and ensure political systems remain functional.



2. Ground Combat Visuals Merger
• With the political layer stabilized, the same structure also supports the integration of a ground combat visuals overhaul in the future.
• Stable army definitions and invasion events mean we can merge cinematic visual mods (think Halo Wars, Supreme Commander 2, or Warhammer 40k Dawn of War) without breaking core invasion logic.



Why This Structure Matters
• Prevents cross-mod conflicts in politics, AI, and combat event scripts
• Keeps the army & invasion framework clean for future expansions
• Future-proofs the mod pack so new features drop in with minimal rework



Roadmap

Now – Restructured mod list in place
Next – Faction Fix Patch release (within weeks)
Later – Civil War mechanics + Political Expansion
Future – Ground Combat Visual Overhaul Integration

• Follow the provided mod order exactly to ensure stability.
• Paradox Mod Manager users: clear cache + verify files before applying.
• Irony Mod Manager users: import JSON order + run conflict checks before play.
