Agreed, some QoL on the map is needed, they could even add a toggle for that since the teleporters are so easy to farm people put those everywhere.

Imo they should be there already, you get to a new area you activate those portals, like arpgs do, imo having the ability to set teleporters is not good for a survival game, i like the Outward approach on that, preparation is key for traveling.

I actually kinda disagree, I like the ability to make my own teleport network. If you've played RuneScape3, you understand why I say this. In RS3 you're subject to the network created by the Wizard's tower, but here in DW, you create your own network tailored to your own needs.

The drawback from DW's network vs RS3's I believe, is that since the Wizard's Tower refined their lodestones, anchored their teleports through the tower just like the spells and they're non-movable, they are more stable and cost nothing to use them. The ones in DW on the other hand are not truly anchored and are a bit more unstable, so you have to use runes to make them work properly, depending on the distance each teleport can be more costly, but it does mean you can move them to tailor them to your needs.

V Rising has a similar system, but you're limited to how many bases you can have, thus how many teleporters you can have as well. At a maximum of 3 bases I believe you can only teleport between 3 custom locations, plus the already anchored teleporters dotted around the world.

I think us being able to make them ourselves gives us the right amount of customization we need, but if they did limit them, then they would need to go VRising's route and add some pre-places teleports in various areas.. Though I think that would be less fun imo, because it feels so good to place them down at key locations like Vaults and frequented gathering places for ores and herbs.

At best I think the best they could do if we really need a limiter, is limit us to like 10-15 teleporters placed on the map, maybe increasing the limit as the world's size increases (maybe up to 20-25 with Fellhollow's release.)
