Your solution would be a wet dream for PvP gankers, not a measure that would stop them.

if you disable the appearance of ore in the fief, it will stop appearing in the PvE zone, which will not allow you to build it there.

And how exacty would the stopping of the node from appearing disallow people from building there?
If the node is no longer there (I'm doing your suggestion now) then the node has already been blocked, which is what we want to prevent from happening, not encourage.

And like I said, if you are one of those gankers, then you'll love your suggestion.

I believe it is still a possibility for different, potentially larger playerships to get added, as long as they actually feel different and good enough to be worth their time.

There is metal in River Stone, which both The Island and Genesis II has.

However to really get Metal, you want the Anky and penetrate deeper into the island and find real metal deposits. Much more dangerous animals there, flying back and forth using several Argentavis, ones on follow for metal and one you ride can carry the anky / doedi (Anky metal, Doedi stone). this is much later than the initial startup though. while harvesting keep Argent on follow so they help with bad dinos. They however are extremely noisy.

Whos anky and where i find him and how i tame him??

Clown. Like right now! just go play clown and if you don't have him buy him and enjoy him while you can. You'll go from a nood to a legitimate killer in less than a day.

All my Dornes are Nuclear so I don't have to use Event controller blocks setup to return to Recharging stations,
my Drones can have years of power if I add more Uranium in Reactor but I just add a bit for a few days.

Which is why I put reactors in them now, and needed a means to recall them. Prior... I was having fun finding a way to capture them when they docked to charge. What needs to be turned off and back on when they dock to avoid the issues when you want them back on the route. It can get confusing....

The funniest head banger I had so far was having 2 doors named the same for airlocks on 2 different grids. A ship and a station. When the ship was docked... things went wrong with the Airlocks.... took me hours to figure out I had another door with the same name on the ship that was causing the issue.

Most errors are ours..... finding out how to fix them is almost as much fun watching them work correctly.
