Super late response, but in case you or anyone else was wondering I fixed it by going to downloads, finding this mod, deleting it, then redownloading it. It wasn't allowing it to update so you have to delete and redownload.

The AI is just standing around and doing nothing? Or what do you mean? If yes - most likely a mod issue.

1. Getting stuck on small object is annoying as there is no audio queue, game should have auto vault while holding W, having to press Space is just a pain.
2. Inventory is ♥♥♥♥ even by Alpha standards, that interface should be easy, couldn't find a button to rotate object. Go play tarkov if you want to do a box based inventory.
3. Object sizes are just wrong most of the time in backpacks. Really stupid!!
4. Can't open backpacks on ground to swap items, again play some Tarkov. It has solve all inventory management issues. Learn for it!

This game has a long way to go to get proper playable. But the core idea seems interesting, once the corners are more rounded I'd come back to give it a go again. This game is in the 5-10 Euro range right now. So many better options to play.

You find this in every crpg. this is to emulate roleplay builds of your friends at the table in a ttrpg.

Minmaxing at a table is not the norm.

Yeah, I agree that they are definitely role-play builds that emulate in-person TTRPGs. I just think that while Wrath of the Righteous, like Kingmanker, has some really strong TTRPG mechanics that make it feel like a TTRPG such as camping checks and skill checks, the rest of the game, mostly the never-ending amount of combat scenarios with extremely high level min-maxed demonic foes, makes it feel much more like a video game. Compared to any other big CRPG I can think of, there's way more combat and way more buffed out foes.

To me, it feels like this game wants to be meta-gamed, perhaps even needs to be at higher difficulties, What I mean is I really don't see someone wholly unfamiliar with Pathfinder systems finishing the game with a hodge-podge RP build on core or higher difficulty.

I still have no idea what the safehouse book does or where to find it in the safehouse

Eternal has nothing to do with the problems they added...

Adding a half second cooldown to the shield after a shotgun or chaingun blast to balance the difficulty is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid...just add more demons.

You unlock ground pound in the skill tree.
I think it should just be available from the start though. Or the first one you buy as a tutorial purchase.

Those types of core attacks should absolutely be accessible from the very start. The game already feels solid, but adding a broader attack range could easily elevate it into a 10/10 experience. At minimum, the combat system should include up slashes, down slashes, and air slashes — with full directional control (up, down, and diagonal angles). Classic side-scrolling brawlers are remembered for giving players this freedom of movement and attack versatility right away, which made combat both intuitive and endlessly satisfying. (thinking of dungeon and dragons by capcom - hell even Ninja Baseball Bat man by IRem, 93)
