you have a "news station" imbedded in your ticker and logbook... and once you are allied with at least one involved faction you receive "increased recon, increased defence, started construction and finished construction" notifications.

as for your intervention fleets... you know that you can just setup sats close to your suspects and set an alarm for terran XL combat ships.

and please don't tell me that i am the only one who stays infomed in that manner.

Your not the only one, but personally the UI for X3 and X4 is... basic. to say the least. and i feel like there are a lot of missing settings, options, behaviour settings for stations/Pilots. I literally threw my hands up in the air over the weekend and gave up because a hull parts factory kept trying to be a trade station (im pretty sure it's because of a mod "Factory Transporter" and how i was using it at the time.) And i was also dealing with a Mining/refining Station that i had setup to also mine Nvidium for my HQ sending all my miners to Antigone Memorial to mine Nvidium scraps because % wise it had the lowest capacity so it became a priority, then losing my ♥♥♥♥ because when i tried to lower the capacity all the miners immediately dumped their nvidium because for a brief moment the capacity in the station was set to 1 while manually setting it to 50,000.

Back on topic in replying, the Alarm notifications are hidden away in global settings, and even then it's a ticker event, and worst part is that you don't get ticker events if you have the map open so ill be doing stuff in map for like an hour then close it accidentally hitting esc too many times to get spammed with important messages in the ticker notification box. Most of my frustration amount to poor AI Pilot Behaviour (not using main weapons on Destroyers) and just horrible UI to fumble through and lack of tooltips / explanations on how certain things work.

Здравствуйте, есть опция слежения за лифтом. Камера начинает за ним следовать, если вы кликнете по лифту и тем самым откроете его окно прокачки. Опции слежения за конкретным персонажем нет, и пока не планируем - подскажете, зачем такая опция может быть нужна?

Supposing that there even is some original, pure definition of roguelike and rogue-lite, we're now debating how to label things.

I think it helps remind ourselves that games must exist first, and labels are just shorthand categorizations for them. Developers don't create games according to some imaginary spec as determined by a label.

Returning to the spirit of OP's post, this is a game where the runs are short, there is lots of RNG, and "winning" is how well you manage that RNG to have an increasing higher winrate. I like to compare these kind of games to playing poker -- yes, lots of RNG, but also yes, there are skills to be developed which increase your winrate.

I do agree labelling isn't inherently like a necessary thing to get all protective over and take too seriously, but in this particular instance, I have to admit that I do quite care about the difference.

I don't enjoy roguelites for very long because I don't enjoy the gameplay loop in the same way I do with a roguelike, and if we just slap the two together into the same genre or don't have a bit more of a stricter standard for which is what, I would end up having a lot more difficulty cycling through people talking about or discovering roguelikes because they are inherently not as big of a name or as popular as roguelites. Basically my life in finding good roguelikes becomes a lot harder and the games would get drowned out. They kind of already do because of how many people misunderstand which is what.

You're kidding, dude. Light is practically useless. His invisibility is clearly visible at 20 meters. Melee weapons are a joke. Lights need to keep their distance to survive. Where players with 700+ hours are, Lights are just useless in melee
