probably not, due to amazon being gross, but i doubt cavill would be willing to risk angering the real 40k fans and thus getting involved in drama. he tends to avoid that stuff.

Does secure boot actually stop cheating though? If it does nobody can complain if it doesnt eradicate it then why is it there.

What hype? The online mode is like a desert, can't get any games. Last time I got one and it was lagging as hell.

I'll do almost anything to avoid cheaters and rewasd users. Although I'm curious as to how secure boot will reduce cheaters or it has other purpose.

Secure boot is designed to prevent malicious software and code from starting its process on boot up of your operating system.

Javelin requires secure boot as a "permission" as part of its coding software to do checks on that malicious software.

Extra measures if you will.

That is great. I hope they add more measures so that the game becomes a nuisance for cheaters and they move on to other games.

Hey folks,

Seems like people believe Darkspore is fully dead, never to return. Many of you have probably heard of the private project (Resurrection Capsule) attempting to revive the game. This was believed to have been abandoned a few years ago, since the developers did not communicate any new changes for a long time...

But! If you access the GitHub page, upon which the project unfolds, there have been updates in the past few months, and the game is now accessible! However, before you get too excited, it is only in offline/singleplayer mode, and there seems to still be some issues with certain game mechanics. But the Hero Editor and other features should be accessible now! I'd suggests reading through the project discription before getting ahead of yourself though. There are certain key things to know, before embarking on your new Darkspore journey.

I hope this is the start of a promising future for this project, as i believe there are quite a lot of people who still miss this game, and want it back. Let's hope for the best!

So, to be more precise. Does anything in this game work besides hero editor? Are there any videos of gameplay from their discord? I kinda understand that they have to stay low under radars, so EA wouldn't sue them, but still there needs to be more info.
And I guess no one should expect the final project to have online mode, because, well, EA's servers are pretty dead for almost 10 years.
