Why is it controversial?

I saw some discussions about bats. Imo, they feel like a niche race for certain play style, and don't have many advantages outside this play style. Frogs from other dlc or any other species are more versatile.
But, speaking about new dlc generally, two new biomes are definitely interesting.

Honestly the only thing that makes Bats tricky is their house materials. Otherwise, they're pretty well on par with the other species that are available.
