well thats not giving very good vibes, judging from the wording its 3 maybe 4 maps that are gonna be big the rest are close quarters. hope they fix that. close quarter maps are fine and all but should have more large maps than small ones when the whole oomph of your game is large scale warfare

Why can't they just have big maps with close quarters sections, like they used too...

You can automate it, if you open the employees panel, theres an icon of two arrows forming a circle, when you press that the same icon appears next to every employee, clicking them so they turn green means the automation takes care of all the stuff that employee might want.
Contracts arent automatable.

Based on the other Frontier games with similar building systems, I don't think they'll have a tutorial campaign for modular building as such. Not a step-by-step level anyway, since the modular building is technically an optional thing and some players won't want to engage with it at all. They probably will have more involved guidance for using the new terrain tools throughout the campaign, though. At least, that's my guess.

Their other games have in-game panels listing all the different controls, so you can have that handy as you figure things out. It can help as you're learning to keep that cheat-sheet of key bindings open but after a while it really does become automatic and you won't need that any more.

For actually learning how to use the modular building (and getting ideas on what to build, and how to achieve the results you want), your best resource is going to be watching tutorial videos. There's going to be a number of people putting out that sort of content specifically to help new players find their feet with the controls.
