I've been on AM4 for the last six years and I haven't noticed any problems specific to the platform, or problems that I could unequivocally attribute to the platform itself I guess. When a game has problems it always seems to be the game itself that has the issue. I'll download ABZU again and try it out too, just out of curiosity.

I read earlier that Sword of the Sea is using UE5 so that's a bit of a red flag to me. It doesn't guarantee poor performance - I'm playing through Expedition 33 at the moment and apart from a few dips below 60fps here and there (which I could probably remedy by dropping the settings a bit) it's been fine - but UE5 games with trouble-free performance don't seem all that common. :\

Edit: ABZU runs beautifully on my system (5700X, 32GB RAM, RTX 3060 Ti), averaging 100+ fps with no noticeable stutter, max settings at 1440p ultrawide. The performance cap appears to be happening on the GPU which is hitting 100% usage from time to time but the CPU is hovering ~40% usage. That dense shoal of fish you get to early in the game drops the framerate down to the low 80s when most of them are on screen and near the camera but it still feels really smooth. It looks absolutely gorgeous too, I forgot how good it looks. :)

I did read just now on PCGamingWiki that it used to have Denuvo so that may have hurt CPU performance prior to its removal?

I have the 5700x and a 7800 xt and got a cpu bottleneck at the dense shoal of fish for 1440p ultrawide. I'm going to upgrade to AM5 with the 9800x3d next week, so I'll be good for a while.

My experience wasn't too good in UE5 games like TES IV remastered where I got a crash every 2 or 3 hours. I'm curious about where you found the info that they using UE5 for this game.
