So I'm currently in act 2 on my first playthrough and I was originally gonna follow cRPG Bro 2 handed fighter trickster build(just modified a little since my character uses scythes) however after hearing some things about the trickster path I decided it wouldn't fit my character to go down that path so I decided to switch him to Azata and was looking for any recommendations for the build. So i heard devs providing tools to make the game as modding friendly as possible, but im curious how much actual modding experience do you need to fully take advantage of those tools and produce mods with somewhat acceptable quality to it.

Can person with zero modding experience start doing something with the help of those tools after 2-3 weeks of self education on the subject?

Or even with those tools available you still need months or years of modding experience to even start doing anything there?

Elite Dangerous might be closest. I've enjoyed it in the past but I don't like having to setup controls for it. And for the people that claim Starfield is void of content Elite was pretty much after you saw one system they were all exactly the same. It was really about the space flight and simulation but very menu.

The other my be X Foundations? Hard game to get into as well as the game is complicated. If you want a complicated Starfield then that might be your cup of tea.

No Man's Sky is a survival style game and really not like Starfield. I have probably more time in that space game than any other next to Starfield. And I like them both. No Man's Sky though has the problem of abstract story. It's mostly about resource gathering and exploring. But the universe also doesn't make any sense. You will have five planets right next to each other closer than the moon is to earth.

I do actually really enjoy Star Wars Outlaws. That is actually kind of close to Starfield in some ways but is more adventure focused.

They are only available online as far as I know.
